Our clients, for this large extension and remodelling project to an impressive coastal house, were seeking uncluttered calm spaces with an ‘art gallery feel’ that properly related to the houses’s beautiful setting.

 

Our design removed all the non-original elements and replaced them with a simple and elegant structure - the openings of which are designed to optimise the views out. One, to the East, consists of a glazed corner where all the glass panels slide into ‘invisible’ pockets and another, to the West, onto a newly formed terrace which, from now on, will allow the owners to enjoy the setting evening sun. Internally, long expanses of white walls provide space for the owner’s collection of Modern Art.
